We
were married 8,800 feet up in the Colorado Rockies, in
a wedding chapel reachable only by four wheel
drive -- his and hers Suburbans, of course. We heard Marvin
Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” as we danced
back down from the altar. We are home in the Blue Ridge Mountains
after 21 years in the Florida flatlands, loving the romance
in the misty mountain air.
I wrote for the Miami Herald Sunday Magazine, Tropic,
for 12 years, and am the author of the forthcoming non-fiction
book Keeping Score, a personal look at football legend Steve
Spurrier. I am a correspondent and photographer for the
Waynesboro News-Virginian, and have videography credits
with WVIR TV 29 in Charlottesville. My stories and photography
have appeared in the St. Petersburg Times since 1982, and
in many other regional and national publications. For five
years I taught journalism majors at Florida International
University, where I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree, and
enjoy teaching Advanced Writing at University of Virginia.
I bring my storytelling sensibilities and musical energy
to creating and capturing all the fun you want to have at
your wedding.
My wife Linda has an eye for color, design and wedding-day
emotion that makes her a compelling storyteller with a
camera and a computer. She is an accomplished photographer,
videographer, photo and video editor, bringing drama, clarity
and style to your photo album and DVD. We love working
together to bring smiles to the cast of characters in your
wedding story.
We proudly work with our talented daughter Sarah, when
she is not immersed in cinematic theory at the University
of Florida, home of the National Champion (pick a sport)
Florida Gators.
