Ran and Linda Henry bring the romance of the
mountains to your wedding, even if you don't wed in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We are two lovebirds who love working together, presenting musical
entertainment, photography and keepsake videography at weddings in Florida
and Virginia for over twenty five years.
We were married 8,800 feet up the Colorado Rockies, in
a wedding chapel accessible by four wheel drive -- his and hers Suburbans,
of course. We danced back from the altar to "Let's Get It On," and
drove one Suburban down the mountains to rock to Lynyrd Skynyrd in the lodge.
We are at home in the Blue Ridge Mountains after raising two daughters
in the Florida flatlands, loving the romance in the mist hugging the pines.
Ran Henry wrote for Tropic, the Sunday Magazine
of the Miami Herald, telling South Florida's stories in words and photographs
from 1986 until the magazine died in 1998. His stories have appeared
in the St. Petersburg Times since 1982. As writer, photographer and Pop
Music Critic for the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville he was the first
to interview surviving members of Lynyrd Skynrd in their hometown, after
their tour plane crashed in a Mississippi swamp. Stories and photographs
by Ran Henry have appeared in The Hook, the News-Virginian, the Daily Progress
web site and other regional and national publications. He filmed
relief efforts in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina for NBC-29 TV in Charlottesville,
and is official videographer for First Night Virginia. For five years
he taught Writing Strategies at Florida International University in North
Miami, where he holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing,
and taught Advanced Writing at Virginia Commonwealth University. Professor
Henry teaches Writing Strategies for the BIS program at the University of
Virginia, and reveres the story of your wedding.
Linda Henry knows the many faces of a wedding
day. She is an accomplished photographer, videographer and editor,
bringing her unique vision and accessible style to your photo collection
and keepsake video. Her work filming and editing the short film "Refill?"
earned screen time and a prize at the Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach Film
Festivals. Her work has been featured in the News-Virginian, the Boar's
Head Inn wedding brochure and on websites of wedding venues we love.
We are proud to work alongside Charlottesville's
renowned wedding professionals at historic churches, wineries, hotels,
country clubs, estates and hilltops in Virginia's heartland. It's
beautiful up here in the Blue Ridge! We can point out some cosmic
ceremony and reception sites. Feel free to ask the folks at any wedding
venue around about our services, and value. We are one couple who
help you turn wedding plans into memories to fill your heart and home.
Anything is possible. Envision elevating
your wedding.
